The four day national festival, first of its kind in India, comprised theatre, visual arts, a book exhibition and a symposium. It was our first attempt at collating multi-disciplinary voices and bridging political and artistic articulations around the readings of gender. The festival marked the inception of Majlis. Many of the participants of Expression later made significant contributions in the field of art practices in India.
